Service and Philanphropy

For the past three years, I’ve been actively involved with Youth Diabetes Action (YDA), a charity that supports children and adolescents with diabetes and their families in Hong Kong. My journey with YDA began in 2021 when I became an ambassador, collaborating with other ambassadors to raise funds and support a local event at a primary school. Over time, my relationship with YDA deepened, and last year I had the opportunity to design digital invitations for one of their key events. This year, I took on a new initiative by auctioning off photography prints to help raise funds for YDA.

Dennis Zeng x Youth Diabetes Action Online Webinar, 2023

Ms. Joanna Hotung was kind enough to speak more about YDA and answer diabetes questions. This was a great opportunity for members of the community to learn about the real struggles of diabetes and hopefully provide support to those who are affected.

Dennis Zeng x Operation Smile Online Webinar, 2023

My club at school partnered with Operation Smile, a non-profit medical organization dedicated to supporting and treating those affected by the cleft condition. We were happy to have Mansi Shah, the Student Programs Associate for the Northern region, and Jackson Doane, who was born with a bilateral cleft lip and palate to offer extremely valuable insight on not only the organization and their impacts but also experiences as a patient.
