Daredevil’s Reminiscence, 2021
This collage reflects a man's life, created from images found in magazines. The central figure, an older man on the left, looks back on his past as he reflects on his life. Great Gatz, 2024
After reading The Great Gatsby in English Class, I created this piece to emphasize the novel’s theme during 1920s America and its superficial nature. I chose to juxtapose the grand Rolls Royce that Mr. Gatzy drives and the depressing industrial landscape. The “valley” billboard places the setting as the valley of ashes in the novel, representing the moral and social decay of the Roaring 20s; also seen from the hazy smudges of smoke above the car.

Headless Dash, 2019
This piece portrays Hong Kong’s fiercely competitive and challenging nature where survival is a constant struggle for office workers. The use of fine liner adds depth and texture to the piece, depicting the office workers mindlessly chasing after different things in order to survive. The city's highly stressful and fast-paced environment is reflected in the frenzied movements of the depicted figure, who seems to be turning into a robot, losing their humanity in the face of intense competition. The overall effect is a poignant commentary on the harsh realities of urban life, capturing the emotions and experiences of those who struggle to keep up in the cutthroat environment of Hong Kong.
